Inviting Team Members
How to invite users to your SitePulse organization — sending invites, accepting invites, pending invite management, and expiry.
Invite users to your organization to collaborate on projects, review audits, and apply recommendations.
Sending an invite
Go to Settings → Team → Members and click Invite Member.
Enter:
- Email address — the invitee's email
- Role — Admin, Member, or Viewer (see Roles & Permissions)
Click Send Invite. SitePulse sends an email with a secure invite link valid for 7 days. If email delivery fails (you'll see a warning), use Copy link on the pending invite to grab the invite URL and share it yourself — the link works identically.
You can send multiple invites at once by repeating the process. The pending invites list shows all outstanding invites with their expiry dates.
Accepting an invite
The invitee receives an email from notifications@sitepulse.app with subject:
You've been invited to join [Org Name] on SitePulse
Clicking the link opens the invite acceptance page at /invite?token=xxx.
If the invitee already has a SitePulse account: they are prompted to confirm joining the organization. After accepting, the org appears in their Org Switcher.
If the invitee does not have an account: they are prompted to create one on the invite page. After creating an account and confirming, they join the organization with the assigned role.
Resend, copy link, and revoke
Every pending invite row has three actions:
- Copy link — copies the invite URL to share directly (chat, ticket, however you like). Handy when the email didn't arrive or landed in spam.
- Resend — refreshes the 7-day expiry and sends the email again. Works on expired invites too.
- Revoke — invalidates the link immediately.
Invite links expire after 7 days; expired invites show as "Expired" until resent or revoked.
Pending invites list
The pending invites panel (below the active members list) shows:
- Invitee email
- Assigned role
- Invite sent date
- Expiry date
- Status (Pending / Expired / Accepted)
Accepted invites disappear from the pending list and appear in the active members list.
Invite limits
There is no hard limit on pending invites. However, the total number of members (active + pending) is subject to your plan's seat limit. If a pending invite would bring you over the seat limit, the invite is still sent but you will need to upgrade before the invitee can accept.
Invite clients as Viewers
If you want to share results with a client without giving them edit access, invite them as a Viewer — they can browse every project, report, and AI Visibility result but can't change anything or spend your quota. For read-only access to a single audit with no login at all, use Share Links instead.
