What is SitePulse?

A plain-English overview of what SitePulse does, who it's for, and how it works.

SitePulse is a web-auditing platform that tells you how your site performs on the factors that matter most today: speed, discoverability in traditional search engines, and — increasingly — how often AI assistants like Perplexity, ChatGPT, or Gemini reference your content.

What problems does it solve?

"My rankings dropped and I don't know why." SitePulse runs the same Lighthouse audit Google uses, layers on a 60-point custom SEO rubric, and pinpoints the exact fields (title tag length, missing canonical, broken JSON-LD) causing the slide.

"I want to know if AI mentions my brand." The GEO Visibility feature fires synthetic queries at four AI providers — Perplexity, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini — and records whether your domain or brand appears in the answer, your rank among competitors, and the surrounding citation context.

"My team wastes hours writing the same meta rewrites every sprint." The Rewrites tab generates 20 types of AI-powered suggestions (title, meta description, heading fixes, structured data, citation blocks, and more) and can push approved changes directly to WordPress, Webflow, or Drupal via CMS integrations.

Six scored categories

Every URL audit produces scores across six dimensions:

CategoryWhat it measures
PerformanceHow fast your pages load and settle for real visitors (Google's "Core Web Vitals" measurements)
SEO40-pt Lighthouse SEO + 60-pt custom meta/schema/robots rubric
GEO100-pt AI-readiness rubric (schema, citations, structure, fluency)
Best PracticesSecurity headers, HTTPS, deprecated APIs
AccessibilityWCAG compliance via Lighthouse axe engine
Content QualityHow readable, thorough, and well-structured your writing is

Each category scores out of 100. An overall score is a weighted average.

Who is it for?

  • SEO managers tracking rankings and content gaps across large sites
  • Content teams who want AI-driven rewrites they can approve and deploy in one click
  • Developers auditing GitHub repos for code quality and dependency risk
  • Agency teams managing multiple client sites under one organization

How a typical workflow looks

  1. Create a project

Add your site's root URL and optional GSC integration. SitePulse stores all audits under this project so you can track trends over time.

  2. Run an audit

Submit a URL, sitemap, GitHub repo, or competitor URL. The worker runs in the background — usually 30–90 seconds for a single URL.

  3. Review your report

Open the completed audit to see scores, metric breakdowns, and AI-generated recommendations per category.

  4. Act on findings

Approve rewrite suggestions, apply CMS patches, set up scheduled audits, and configure score-drop alerts.

No backend setup required

SitePulse is a hosted platform. You do not need to run any servers — just sign up and paste a URL.
