Understanding Your Report

How SitePulse structures audit results — overall score, category scores, metrics, and recommendations.

Every completed audit in SitePulse produces a structured report with four layers: an overall score, six category scores, per-category metrics, and prioritized recommendations.

Overall score

The overall score (0–100) is a weighted average of the six category scores. Categories with richer rubrics (GEO, SEO, Content Quality) carry more weight than pure Lighthouse pass-throughs.

CategoryWeight
Performance20%
SEO20%
GEO25%
Best Practices10%
Accessibility10%
Content Quality15%

Score bands:

  • 90–100 — Excellent
  • 70–89 — Good
  • 50–69 — Needs improvement
  • 0–49 — Poor

Score gauge

The large circular gauge at the top of the audit detail page shows the overall score. The color tracks the band: green (90+), blue (70–89), amber (50–69), red (0–49).

Category score rail

Below the gauge, a horizontal strip shows each of the six category scores as mini-gauges. Click any category chip to jump to that section of the report, or use the tab navigation at the top of the report panel.

Metric breakdowns

Within each category tab, metrics are listed in a table with:

ColumnWhat it shows
MetricName of the measurement
ValueMeasured value (pixels, milliseconds, score, text, etc.)
RatingGood / Needs improvement / Poor (color-coded)
PointsContribution to the category score

Rating thresholds are category-specific. Each report category page in this section documents the exact thresholds.

Recommendations

The Recommendations section lists specific actions to improve your scores. Each recommendation shows:

  • Category — which score it affects
  • Severity — Critical / High / Medium / Low
  • Title — the specific issue or opportunity
  • Description — explanation and context
  • GEO strategy — (GEO and Content recommendations) which of the 9 AI-search improvement patterns applies

Recommendations are sorted by estimated score impact: fixing a Critical item first will move your score the most.

Rewrite suggestions

Separate from metric recommendations, the Rewrites tab contains AI-generated copy improvements (title rewrites, meta descriptions, heading fixes, structured data additions). These are actioned through the Rewrites workflow, not the metric recommendations list.
