Alert Thresholds

Alert Thresholds let you define minimum acceptable scores per category. When a completed audit scores below a threshold, SitePulse sends an alert email (if email notifications are configured).

Configuring thresholds

Go to Project → Settings → Alert Thresholds (or Settings → Notifications → Alert Thresholds).

You can set a minimum score threshold for each of the seven score dimensions:

Leave a threshold at 0 to disable alerts for that category.

When alerts fire

An alert fires when a completed audit produces a score below the configured threshold for that category. Alerts are evaluated:

1. After every manual audit completion
2. After every scheduled audit completion

If multiple categories are below their thresholds in the same audit, a single alert email is sent listing all categories that violated their thresholds.

Alert email content

The alert email includes:

• Project name and audited URL
• Audit completion time
• A table of categories that breached thresholds, showing the current score vs. the threshold
• A direct link to the audit detail page

The subject line format is:
[SitePulse Alert] Score drop on <project-name> — <category> at <score>

Alert vs. completion emails

SitePulse sends two distinct email types triggered by audit completion:

Both can be configured independently. You can receive completion emails without enabling alert thresholds, or use alert-only emails if you don't want a notification for every routine audit.

Score recovery notifications

By default, SitePulse only sends alerts when a score drops below a threshold, not when it recovers. To receive a recovery notification (when a score crosses back above threshold), enable Alert on recovery in the Alert Thresholds settings.
