Impersonation (Platform Support)
How SitePulse platform support can view your organization read-only to debug an issue — what they can see, what they can't do, and how it's logged.
Impersonation is a SitePulse platform-support capability — it lets a SitePulse support engineer view the app as your organization to reproduce and debug an issue you've reported. It is not something organization Owners or Admins use on their own team members.
What support sees
While impersonating your organization, a support engineer sees your dashboard, projects, audit reports, and AI Visibility results exactly as your team sees them. That's usually what's needed to understand a "why does my report look wrong?" ticket.
What support cannot do
Impersonation is read-only, enforced server-side. Every action that would change your data — running audits, editing projects, changing settings, applying fixes — is rejected while an impersonation session is active. The only write allowed is ending the impersonation session itself.
How it's logged
Every impersonation start and stop is recorded in the platform audit log with the support engineer's identity, your organization, and timestamps — there is no unlogged access.
You stay in control of your account
Impersonation never exposes your password or personal account settings, and support cannot act on your behalf — the read-only rule is enforced by the server, not just hidden buttons.
