Share Links

How to create public share links for SitePulse audit results — who can view them, what they show, and how to revoke access.

Share Links let you share audit results with stakeholders who don't have a SitePulse account — clients, team members, or external reviewers. A share link produces a public, read-only view of a single audit.

On any completed audit's detail page, click the Share & Export dropdown and select Create Share Link.

A unique token-based URL is generated in the format:
https://app.sitepulse.app/share/<token>

The link is active immediately and does not require a SitePulse account to view.

What the shared view shows

The public share view includes:

  • Overall score gauge
  • Six category scores (mini-gauges)
  • The full metric breakdown for each category
  • Recommendations list (with severity and description)
  • Audit metadata (URL audited, audit date, audit type)

The shared view does not show:

  • Rewrite suggestions (Rewrites tab is hidden)
  • CMS Patches tab
  • Project settings or account information
  • Other audits in the project

Share links do not expire by default. You can set an expiry date when creating the link (7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or no expiry). After expiry, the link returns a 404 "Link expired" page.

Share links are visible to your whole organization: any member can open an audit's Share & Export → Manage Links and see every active link for it, including links created by teammates. That matters because a public link is an organization-level exposure — everyone on the team can check what's currently shared.

Revoking is allowed for the link's creator and for organization Admins/Owners. Click Revoke next to a link; it returns a 404 immediately. An audit can have multiple active links at once (for example, one per client with different expiry dates).

If your organization has configured white-label branding (logo and brand colors), the shared view uses your branding instead of the SitePulse branding. See Branding Customization for setup.

Analytics

The Share Links management panel shows how many times a link has been viewed. Views are counted per unique session — multiple loads from the same browser session count as one view.

Use share links for client reporting

Share links are the fastest way to show clients their audit results without granting them full app access. Combine with the PDF export for a permanent record — the share link is a live view that updates if you run a new audit, while the PDF is a static snapshot.
